Frequently Asked Questions

What is Link Share?

Link Share is a tool for temporarily sharing multiple links (like Google Drive files, documents, or any URLs) with someone using a simple password. It's perfect for situations where you can't easily send emails, like when using a public terminal or helping someone remotely.

How long do links stay active?

You choose the expiration time when creating a session: 1 hour, 6 hours, 24 hours, 3 days, or 7 days. After that time, the links are automatically deleted and can no longer be accessed.

Is it secure?

The links are stored server-side and protected by your chosen password. For sensitive content, use a strong, unique password. Remember that anyone with the password can access the links until they expire.

Can I edit or delete links after creating a session?

Currently, once a session is created, it cannot be edited. You can create a new session with updated links. The old session will expire automatically based on the time you set.

What are good use cases for Link Share?

- Sharing Google Drive links with someone at a public terminal
- Sending multiple file links to someone over a phone call (give them the password verbally)
- Quickly sharing resources with a colleague without setting up email
- Providing download links to someone in a different country with unreliable email
